Battles in Faith, Tradition and Religious Expression
by Bodie Hodge
The day Jesus was born was one of history’s all-time highlights. Even the angels joined in the celebration, singing, “Glory to God in the highest and on Earth, peace, goodwill toward men.” As Christians, we take great joy in celebrating the miraculous birth of our Savior. Christmas morning is a special day in our home and always will be. Is it wrong to celebrate Christmas? Is it a pagan holiday as some Christians suggest? Is Santa Claus evil, or does he have roots in a generous 4th century man who gave freely to help the poor and needy? Is the blatant materialism we see during the Christmas Holiday and the worship of Santa make Christmas a day to be avoided? Leave it to Satan to take something God created for good and pollute it. Should we allow him to take away our joy, remembrance and celebration of Jesus’ birth and make this all about presents and evergreen trees?
Learn the truth about Christmas, the Magi, the Bethlehem Star, the shepherds, the inside story on the lives of Mary and Joseph, Christmas trees, wreaths, even the meaning of X-Mas and the battle to change the word Christmas to the “less offensive and politically correct,” Happy Holidays. This book is a must read! Learn the truth for yourself.
