The Scroll serves as an impetus to seek an understanding of the modern conflict in Israel between the Israeli government and its neighbors. The plot depicts modern day Israel and the constant vigilance the government must carry out to protect its archeological history. The story of the scroll helped me understand the reasons behind the movement to build the third Temple.
The author also helped this “want to be” archeologist feel the dirt, sweat, heat and the intrigue of entering ancient tunnel with a team of scientist seeking for lost artifacts of the Biblical Israel.
For those interested in archeological finds, the nation of Israel and the Bible, it is difficult to imagine a better book. The story was very well written, did not have any dull moments, and ended in a spectacular fashion!
