The God of the Mountain: The True Story Behind the Discoveries at the Real Mount Sinai
by Penny Caldwell
Moses was destined to die at birth. However, Hebrew midwives allowed him to live despite Pharaoh’s orders to kill newborn boys. His mother later hid him in an ark of bulrushes left on the bank of the Nile, where he was found by Pharaoh’s daughter and soon introduced to a life of privilege and position. And so began the plan of God for the deliverance of the Hebrews from their Egyptian captivity!
Jim and Penny Caldwell and their children, Lucas and Chelsea—American citizens, similarly began an assignment for God in 1987, when an angel facilitated Jim’s employment in Saudi Arabia. A war and several months later their assignment manifested in a series of supernatural events eventually leading them to the unknown particulars of their call; a hidden site in the desert. Moses’ and the Hebrew nation’s connection to it—agencies that opposed their activities at gunpoint, and the challenge of obedience to God they couldn’t see, but trusted.
They were faithful to their call, and the world is consequently indebted to them. Because of Jim and Penny’s perseverance and their proof-filled videos and photographs of sites in Northwest Arabia, an historical biblical event has been documented archeologically and its site located. The world now has the confirmation of Moses’ leading of the Hebrew people to and through the ancient land of Midian in their forty-year wilderness journey toward the Promised Land of Israel.
Penny’s journal of their life in Saudi Arabia tells the story.
