The Divine Choice: Joshua’s Altar on Mt. Ebal
Join Aaron Lipkin and Zac Waller as they explore breathtaking vistas in the region surrounding Shechem. They begin on Mt. Kabir, overlooking the Tirzah Valley; the very route used by Abram and Jacob when they first entered Canaan. Later, under the leadership of Joshua, the Israelites used the very same approach into the land, eventually leading them up the mountains of Ebal and Gerizim. From the Joseph Lookout, see Nablus and ancient Shechem as you learn why modern explorers, for years, were unable to find Joshua’s Altar on the southern slopes of Ebal. The eventual discovery, by Adam Zertal, of a mysterious pile of field stones on Mt. Ebal’s northern end changed everything! See the archaeological evidence for yourself. Professor Zertal’s findings will convince and astonish you as they simultaneously validate the biblical narrative while confirming the faithfulness of the God of Israel.
This DVD includes a bonus Music Video performed by Josh and Zac Waller!
2. The Forgotten Feast: Shiloh
3. The Gate of Heaven
On a scenic mountaintop in the heartland of Israel, in the biblical territory of the Tribe of Benjamin, lies a mysterious site with evidence of centuries of pilgrimage, habitation, and deep reverence. A thousand-year old oak tree stands beside the ruins of an ancient church and mosque, with Jewish burial caves from the Second Temple Period. Explore a subterranean olive press and winery, dating from 2,500 years ago. On the crest of this hill, see for yourself remains of an ancient platform, the exact size of the Tabernacle of Moses and Joshua.
So why are they all here? Why, throughout the ages, have people come exactly to this place? What is the significance of this mountain? Join your Israeli host, Aaron Lipkin, along with his guest, Joshua Waller, for a personal tour, exploring and explaining the biblical history of the ancient site of Beth-El. Most tours visiting Israel never come to Beth-El at all. We invite you to touch the history of the Holy Land with us, as you feel the Scriptures come alive! The Gate of Heaven is an experience you will never forget. This is the rarely seen mountain site of Jacob’s Dream of the Ladder!
FREE BONUS Music Video- The Gate of Heaven DVD also contains a wonderful music tribute entitled, “I Believe,” Performed by Joshua Waller and friends that will encourage you in your own belief and in support for the Covenant Promise that the people of Israel would return back to their historical homeland.
On a personal note, Gary and Bob found themselves on this exact site in March of 2015. It was a cold, windy day, overcast and semi-miserable for the 50 or so people in our tour group. Aaron Lipkin lectured on the site and we were all in awe. But we were also anxious to get back to the bus because it was not a good day to be outside listening to a lecture. As we left the site, Aaron asked our Tour Organizer, Daniel Wright, to pray. After all, we were on Holy Ground. As we bowed our heads and Daniel began to pray, a strange thing happened. The clouds rolled away, the wind stopped, the sun came out and we found ourselves bathed in sunshine and warmth! We couldn’t help but lift up our bowed heads and look at each other in awe of what we were experiencing. God was at Beth-El again that day! And so were we!
4. The Footsteps of God
This 33 minute DVD is based on the discoveries and writings of our dear friend, Israeli archaeologist, Adam Zertal, (1936-2015) who passed away shortly after our trip to Israel. Aaron Lipkin has followed in his footsteps to bring this important discovery to the world.
Every ancient civilization has its remarkable landmarks. Egypt has the pyramids. Greece has the Acropolis. And Rome has the Colosseum! But what about the ancient Hebrews? When it came to observing the Feasts and worshipping the God of Israel we all know about the Jerusalem Temples and Shiloh, but what about those years before the Temples? What evidence exists from the early days of Joshua and the Conquest?
Join Aaron Lipkin and his guest, Zac Waller, as they uncover the secrets of six footprint formations—all dated from the early Israelite Period and all found in central Israel. What were they used for? Why are they all located in the Jordan Valley and eastern foothills of Samaria? Why did the ancient Hebrews go to so much trouble to build these round monuments in the shape of a footprint? Using a drone, you will see amazing video of the footsteps of God and watch as Aaron and Zac move a few steps closer to understanding the actual ancient Gilgal sites from ancient Israel.
FREE BONUS Music Video– 4.5 minutes- The Footsteps of God DVD also contains a wonderful musical tribute entitled “Restoration,” performed by Zac Waller and friends that will encourage you in your own belief and support for the Covenant promise that the people of Israel would return and prosper in their historic biblical homeland.
BONUS BOOK – The Footsteps of God by Adam Zertal
The Footsteps of God is an excellent book with fresh information that will probably surprise you. When the late Professor, Adam Zertal of the University of Haifa began surveying the Jordan Valley and the hills of Samaria, he decided to come without preconceptions … to simply document what was there. The “empty slate” method proved best because he did not go out seeking biblical places.
Zertal and his team discovered puzzling ancient sites with absolutely no parallels in the region.
What were these mysterious structures? After gathering all of the survey information, and as part of his analysis, Zertal chose to leverage the Bible to aid in his interpretation of these peculiar monuments. Remarkably, his team had found (both in the Jordan Valley and up in the hills of Samaria) what he reasoned were early Iron Age “Gilgal” sites; semi-circular structures with a “footstep-like” outline. This book reveals how Zertal’s scientific approach proved to be critical in identifying and understanding these locations, as well as the ancient Israelite customs and worship associated with them. The Footsteps of God also includes terminology connecting modern Jewish traditions with these sites!
