In 2018, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Muhammad Bin Salman announced plans to build a futuristic “city-state” called, “Neom.” It is slated to become an international city 33 times larger than New York City that will encompass a large quadrant of northwest Saudi Arabia.
