In this in-depth, eight-week Bible study for women, author Erin Davis focuses on one chapter, Leviticus 23.  She takes participants on a journey through the Old and New Testaments and shows how the seven feasts mentioned in that chapter—the Passover, the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the Feast of Firstfruits, the Feast of Weeks, the Feast of Trumpets, The Day of Atonement, and the Feast of Booths—connect with what is revealed in the rest of Scripture about God’s character, Jesus’ coming to earth as our Redeemer, the outpouring of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, and Jesus’ second coming.

Beneficial for individuals and groups, this study reveals that the seven feasts aren’t just days on a calendar for the Israelites as they enter the Promised Land. Rather, “they are an invitation to a forgetful people, given by a faithful God, to praise and remember.” In the same way, as participants study the connection of the feasts to what God has done for humanity through the work of Jesus Christ, they will also be encouraged to overcome their “spiritual amnesia.”

This study is user-friendly and within reach of people with differing degrees of Bible knowledge. Her goal, though, is not to teach facts. Rather, her hope is that women will be transformed by encountering God’s Word while using this study.
