“Iran: Americans Have Very Clearly Surrendered,” was the Washington Free Beacon headline on the day following the failed nuclear negotiations between Iran and the P5+1. The latest round of nuclear talks, which expired on November 24, 2014, yielded the similar fruitless results as the past deadline of July 20, 2014, at which time, the P5+1 consisting of Russia, China, America, Britain, France and Germany were unable to convince Iran to downgrade its current nuclear program.
The article states that according to Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, the supposed moderate voice of Iran’s ruling rogue regime, “Today, we achieved victory.” His boast echoed the sentiments of other top Iranian leaders who celebrated the P5+1 failure to strike a deal as a “sign that the Americans have very clearly surrendered to Iran’s might.”
Adding insult to injury, Rouhani declared that the “centrifuges will not stop (spinning),” These centrifuges lie at the heart of the nuclear talks. Presently, Iran is suspected of having about 19,000 of them, which when in full operation some estimates suggest could equip Iran with a nuke in six weeks. One Israeli official has suggested that Iran could possess 50 to 100 nuclear warheads by 2024! As a good will gesture, Iran consented to only spinning about half of these centrifuges as long as the negotiations continued.
Complicating the delicate discussions was the untimely issuance by Ayatollah Khamenei of his eleven “Red Lines During the Nuclear Talks.” Iran’s Supreme Leader tweeted these absolutes about a month prior to the November 24th deadline. Among his dictates he said that Iran should be able to operate 190,000 SWU’s (Separate Work Units / Centrifuges). If allowed, some experts inform that this number of SWU’s could someday enable Iran to manufacture about 38 atomic bombs annually.
If all of the above isn’t inflammatory enough, Khamenei also called for the annihilation of Israel. In a relatively recent tweet tirade the Ayatollah wrote: “This barbaric, wolflike & infanticidal regime of #Israel which spares no crime has no cure but to be annihilated.” This assault was accompanied by a 9 – point plan to eliminate Israel.
Although the Obama administration seemingly shrugs off Iran’s mockery of America, Israeli leaders take these threats of annihilation seriously, and most importantly so does the Lord!
The Lord is fiercely angry with Iran, according to a 2600 year old vastly overlooked prophecy in Jeremiah 49:34-39. The word of the Lord came to Jeremiah around 596 B.C. concerning the ancient land of Elam, which is located in modern day Iran. This specific territory hugs the Persian Gulf and is the location of the Bushehr nuclear reactor. This facility is the crown jewel of Iran’s atomic energy program. It was the first reactor built and first to become operational within Iran.
The prophecy informs that Iran fiercely angers the Lord. We find out from the details of the prophecy that the government of Iran is the heart of the problem. They will be eliminated according to Jeremiah 49:38, which says that the “kings and princes” will be destroyed from there. The Lord does not destroy good leaders, so the inference is that these are reprehensible leaders. Iran’s present repressive regime today fits this prophetic description.
A few verses earlier we find out why Iran’s Islamic government is problematic. Jeremiah 49:35 tells us that the government plans on launching deadly missiles somewhere. However these are not necessarily ordinary conventional missiles, but appear to be nuclear equipped rockets, because the verse alludes to the mainstay of Iran’s might. Today, that would appear to be speaking about Iran’s nuclear program.
Jeremiah says that the bow of Elam will be broken at the foremost place of Iran’s might. The Lord would not break Iran’s bow unless it was going to be used to launch missiles at an unacceptable target. Iran sent scores of missiles into Iraq in between 1980-1988 during the Iran-Iraq war, so Iraq is probably not the intended target of prophetic concern.
There is only one target that Iran has threatened to annihilate in modernity, and that’s Israel. Iran has made threats against America, but it appears to be Israel that the Lord intends to protect in this instance. The Lord has big plans for little Israel in these end times. Ezekiel 39:7 informs that the Lord will uphold His holy name in the midst of His people Israel.
Iran wants to wipe Israel off of the map and is about to possess the atomic wherewithal to accomplish this. In my estimation, this is why the Lord will break the bow of Elam at the mainstay of Iran’s might. Iran must not be permitted to attack Israel with atomic weapons because Israel could be wiped off of the map. If there is no Israel, then the Lord won’t be able to uphold His holy name in the midst of His people Israel.
My prophetic assessment is that the Lord is angry with Ayatollah and his ruthless Islamic regime because they atomically aspire to harm Israel. Even though America doesn’t seem to be too concerned about this prospect, the Israelis are deeply disturbed about this impending matter. The odds are that Israel will launch a pre-emptive strike against Iran in order to prevent Iran from launching nukes into the Jewish state.
Jeremiah’s prophecy suggests that the Lord will have Israel’s back in this matter. The prophecy predicts that a disaster occurs in Elam. The disaster then leads to a humanitarian crisis because whatever happens forces the indigenous peoples to flee far away from the affected area. It sounds like a nuclear disaster according to Jeremiah 49:36.
If you want to know more about this prophecy and the strange positive twist for Iranians that concludes the prophecy in Jeremiah 49:39, then you are encouraged to read and watch the DVD called Nuclear Showdown in Iran, Revealing the Ancient Prophecy of Elam.
