Have you ever felt like you were walking in the footsteps of the Apostle Paul? Some years ago I took a trip that followed Paul’s missionary journeys. I traveled to the cities of Ephesus, Athens and Philippi, a trip that gave me a whole new perspective on the life of Paul. There’s nothing quite like being there and feeling like you’ve traveled back in time. As an amateur archaeologist with a love for the land of the Bible, it was the thrill of a lifetime. 

Just recently I was confronted with a different kind of missionary opportunity. I was pleasantly surprised when Billy Crone asked me to join him and a few other well known prophecy teachers in taking the message of the Gospel and Bible prophecy on the road to Europe. 

In just a few weeks, September 12 – October 1st, I’ll be spending 3 weeks in Europe, preaching and teaching in churches in Bristol (UK), Ireland, Scotland and Sanremo, Italy. If you think there’s a lack of churches in the United States who teach Bible prophecy, these types of churches in Europe are almost non existent! What an open mission field! Registration is already exploding beyond our expectations and the best part …  it’s open to the public and totally free. Remember to pray for these trips and the people who will be attending. Many of them, no doubt, will be hearing the Gospel for the very first time. 

Billy had some contacts at these churches from previous visits. The last time he was there, the people asked him not to forget about them. And he didn’t. As society continues to deteriorate, there is a growing hunger in Europe for answers and those answers can be found by talking about the Lord’s return. And we want to be among those who light the fire and start a European revival. What better way to seek revival than to encourage people that Jesus is coming soon? It certainly seems that we are on the final leg of the journey. 

God even opened some new doors after the original trip was scheduled. As the news got out about Ireland, Scotland and Sanremo, Italy, I received an email from a friend in Bristol, England. He said he’d been praying for months about hosting a prophecy conference in England and that he believed God was telling him to ask “Mondo” to come. He said, “Lord, traveling here from America would be very expensive. How could that possibly happen here?” When he saw the news of the other meetings, and realizing we’d be relatively close to Bristol, he emailed me and offered to host a series of meetings in his church in Bristol, England and help cover some of our costs. 

This journey reminds me of Paul’s trips to what today would be modern day Turkey. He planned on going east into what would be western Iran today. Yet the Holy Spirit forbade him to go because He had other plans. 

That night the Scripture reads, “And a vision appeared to Paul in the night. A man of Macedonia stood and pleaded with him, saying, “Come over to Macedonia [Europe] and help us” (Acts 16:9).

When I received the email from the gentleman in Bristol, England, he was basically saying the same thing, “Mondo, come help us. We have very little prophecy teaching here and the people are hungry for prophecy.” After praying about it, Bob and I believe that God wants us to participate in helping those in less reached areas of the world to experience solid, dispensational prophecy teaching. Our outreach on the Daystar Television Network is expensive, but it’s taking the Gospel and Prophecy Watchers into homes and computers all over the world. 

Being there in person and having the opportunity to fellowship with like minded people face to face and reach the lost … perhaps their friends and neighbors? How could we say no? God has opened the door and as always, we are following in HIS footsteps! 

We know that where God guides, He provides, and so we are praying that God will raise up people to help support what we believe is God’s calling for us to help edify and encourage the saints who do not get to have what many of us enjoy and probably take for granted here in the states. As you might imagine, the cost of International airfare, hotels, food and transportation is extreme. But we’re trusting the Lord to provide as always. He’s never failed us yet.
